Genti Q. Bardhi had the opposite of a Midwestern upbringing. A native of Albania, he also lived in Greece, where he studied English, and Italy, where he studied international and family law at the University of Padua (Universitá di Studi di Padova). Along the way, Genti became adept at sales, business development, hospitality, and food and wine, working in restaurants, in high-end retail shops, and for an architect operating in Germany. Genti later immigrated to Washington, D.C., where he met and married Magen.

In 2022, Magen and Genti packed up their lives and their elderly pug dog, Rosie, and moved to Tucson, Arizona, where — as the saying goes — you don't have to shovel sunshine. From Tucson, they decided to launch their own consulting service, combining their complementary skill sets and allowing them to serve clients all over the country and the world (and Rosie got to enjoy her retirement).
Rosie served faithfully as our Chief Pug Officer from 2009 to 2024. She was instrumental in the formation of HQB Consultants, and she'll always have a place on our org chart — and in our hearts!
After 12 years of marriage, we decided to join forces and combine our complementary skill sets and experience to form our own consulting service in 2024. It's a longtime dream come true to work for ourselves while also helping clients reach their goals and achieve new heights.
HQB Consultants are here to be an extension of your team. When you need help but can't support a full-time employee, we're here to get the job done — without the added fees and overhead of a traditional consulting firm. From an initial brainstorming session all the way to campaign implementation and evaluation, any step of the way, consider us a part of your team.
